my $2.50 op shop dress.

Pretty happy with my bargain :)

I bought this grey hat from an op shop last week, but felt it was missing something. The headband is one that i bought months ago, and have never worn.. I didnt like how puffy the flowers were..

So i took the flowers off the headband, sew’d them flat and then attached them onto my $3 op shop hat..

I think it turned out ok, what do you think?

Im sitting in the lounge room, trying to complete the essay that was due yesterday at 12pm.

And all i can here is my boyfriends sisters dog snoring: deep breath, then whistle and repeat. SO cute. But i sense it becoming annoying in another hour or so..

Plating Up..

Tonight I cooked my mums version of a Cabonara.

Sorry i didnt take a picture. But trust me it was phenomenally good. Terrible for those who are on a diet or are health conscious. (im clearly am not)

Ill give you the recipe, but it may be tricky to follow as i never use correct measurements.

Creamy Cabonara: Serves 4

dash of oil
2 large handfuls of diced bacon pieces
1 onion diced
2-3 mushrooms sliced
1 large tub of cream
1 packet Maggi Three Cheese Potato Bake Recipe Base

Half a regular packet of angel hair pasta.

Add oil bacon and onion to hot pan and cook until bacon is brown and onion is soft.
Add Maggi Three Cheese Potato Bake Recipe Base to bacon and onion and leave to sit on the bacon and onion for 45 seconds to 1 minute. Add the tub of cream and then stir ingredients in together. Add mushrooms and leave to simmer for 10 minutes.

Cook Angel hair pasta til soft.

Serve and add Parmesan and salt+pepper for seasoning.

Thats my mums Cabonara.

Dinner is served.

Ive been staying with my boyfriend a lot the past couple of weeks whilst he house sits for his sister.

During this time Ive become all “domesticated”. Ive cooked every night for him and myself. I should note that before this week the most i had cooked was 2 minute noodles and eggs on toast.

My boyfriend suggested that we order take out tomorrow night… But i want to cook Rissoles.

I will win.

Rissoles for tea tomorrow.
