Last night I tried out a new recipe.
This is Deviled Meatloaf.
Was really delicious
Deviled Meatloaf: Serves 6
1.5 lb (680 gms) Minced Steak
2 Eggs
Salt and Pepper
1 Tablespoon Flour
1 Teaspoon Curry Powder
Half a Teaspoon of Mixed Herbs
1 Tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
1 Medium Onion
4 oz can Sliced Mushrooms
1/3 Cup of Milk
1 Teaspoon Soy Sauce
Devilled Sauce: Optional (I didn’t use it, only because my Boyfriend doesn’t like Fruit chutney, and decided to smother his meatloaf with Tomato Sauce.)
1 Teaspoon Sugar
1 1/2 Teaspoons Dry Mustard
1 Tablespoon Oil
3 Tablespoons of Bottled Fruit Sauce or Chutney
1 1/2 Teaspoons Curry Powder
Method:Finely chop onion. Combine all ingredients in mixing bowl, mix well with electric mixer or wooden spoon. Shape into loaf shape, place in greased oven dish. Bake in moderately hot oven for 20 minuted. Reduce heat to moderate, bake further 25 minutes. Brush with deviled sauce for last 15 minutes of baking time.
Devilled Sauce:
Combine all ingredients and mix well.
